Valentine's Day

We had a really fun Valentine's Day!  The boys woke up and had heart dohnuts which of course they loved.

 

Cooper's class had a Valentine's party that I was able to help out with, so my mom came up and hung out with Jackson during the party.

 This is one the games we played at the party.  It was so fun!  I brought one home for all of us to play.

 I had a little Valentine's dinner set up with fun treats.  I borrowed the idea from my sister to have a "heart's desire" dinner. Everyone got to pick their favorite thing to eat for dinner. Cooper picked shrimp, Jackson picked avacado, Ryan picked blueberries and I picked strawberries.  Kind of random, huh? :)

 We do a "heart hunt" every year where they follow the clues to a little treasure at the end.  Cooper was actually able to read most of the words this year!

Catching Up

Wow, I am behind!  Here's a few happenings in February...

 

Cooper played basketball for the first time.  He had fun!

 A flying bug got in the house and the boys decided to get it for us!

 We had an early Valentine's party at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The table was decorated so cute!

 Jackson has been really into picking his outfits lately and refusing to wear certain things.  Cooper never did that so it's been a learning experience! :)   He also loves to show me some fun faces!

Valentine's Day

We had a fun Valentine's Day! Cooper's PK had a party so I'll have to post pictures of that soon. That afternoon the weather was beautiful so we went outside to take a few pictures and play.

This was Ryan's Valentine present for me. Aren't they so cute? They're the boys' birthdates. I didn't even hint for these so that was the best present!!

For dinner the boys and I made heart pizza.

We also had strawberry floats. Yum.

I've had this chocolate fountain since we got married and I rarely use it, so I thought it would be a fun Valentine tradition! It probably will only be on v-day that we use it since it was a PAIN to clean. The boys loved it though. Unfortunately Ryan ended up having to work later than normal so we had to eat dinner without him and start the fountain. Lucky for him there was still some chocolate left, we went to town on it!

I wanted Ryan to be there so the next morning we had our annual "heart hunt." Just a few clues on hearts that lead to a small present.

This was Jackson's first time to really get it so he had fun finding the hearts.

Projects

I've done a few projects around the house lately. The first thing I made was this giant ruler. I'm going to use it as a growth chart for the kids. I first saw it on a blog I really like to read- i don't know how to link or I'd link to her blog! Then Laura made one for her house just a few days later, such a coincidence! When I saw Laura's in person and heard how easy it was I decided to make my own. I'm sure you can get the details about how to make it on pinterest! :)

I made a few Valentine projects. The heart wreath and the little rosettes-of course found both on pinterest!

Cooper wrote that LOVE for me. I am loving that he knows how to write letters now (at least most of them!) I'm going to be using him in my projects from now on.

I traced over my silhouettes and made new ones with Valentine' s paper.

I made all of those little projects last year but found that cute abc printable online. I don't know what I'd do without the internet!
