A Few Projects

I've been doing a few craft projects lately and I wanted to share. Amy, this post is for you :).

I made this Halloween subway art for one of my niches in the hallway. I have a hard time figuring out what to put here so this fits great.
I made it reversable so I can turn it over when I take all my Halloween stuff down.

I pulled my fall wreath out of the attic and it looked horrible, everything was falling off of it. I was so annoyed because I thought it'd at least last a few years. So I went online and found a wreath kind of like this and made one for my front door.

Last is a project that I didn't have to do much for, just paint. My kind of project! It's the bathroom that I posted "before" pictures of probably a month ago. My dad and Ryan put up the beadboard and framed the mirror and I LOVE it.

I had to put a close-up of my two cutie pies.

A view of the wall with the door.

That's it!

More Cooking

I wanted to share the worlds easiest cookie recipe! We got it out of the Parents magazine.
It's 1 C peanut butter, 1 C sugar, and 1 egg. That's it! Just mix it up, then roll into balls and roll into sugar.

Then you use a fork to make lines in them like this.

Bake for around 10 min at 350. SO yummy and easy!

I think I'm going to start a cookbook for the boys on shutterfly where I put the recipe on one page, and then pictures of them making it/eating it on the other page. My plan is to keep adding to it as they get older, and wouldn't it be a fun gift to give them when they're older?! That's my plan anyway, we'll see how it works out.

This was just hilarious. I was changing Jackson's diaper and he layed Mickey down beside him and said "mickey lay down diaper." So I put a diaper on Mickey and he thought it was hilarious. Then Cooper wanted one on. They actually wanted me to put one on but there are no pictures to prove or disprove anything!

Silly (and sweet) Brothers

Aww, my boys are so sweet together.

Or maybe they're just silly! Sweet.

Now they're being silly.

Now a little fighting! A day in the life of brothers, huh?

If I was clever I'd think of some great thing to caption this photo, but unfortunately I'm not!

Now there's a sweet boy!

Another sweet boy!

Then they decided they were going to run to me.

I got some great pictures of those cheeks in action!

My two sweet and silly boys! (yes, Cooper is wearing a chain around his waist. He found it outside -it goes to our hammock-and thought it was a great belt.)

Bee Cookies and Last Swim of the Season

So a week or two ago we made these bee cookies.
The boys loved it (especially eating them!)

You first spread frosting on a cookie and then put a mini twix on them. (the bee) You are supposed to color the frosting for the cookie blue. But I didn't.

Then you cut a marshmellow in half and use them as wings.

You also color frosting yellow (which I didn't) and stripe the top of the twix for the bee.

Here's our finished bee! Yes, it would have been cuter if I had colored the frosting, but this was easier and just as yummy!

We also had our last swim of the season. Boo.

It was a little chilly so Ryan was the only one who got in with the boys.

We'll miss you pool! Every time Jackson sees one he says "swim pool!"

Just Like Their Mommy!

Mommy!

Although I think they're just a little bit cuter in them than I am! (No I am NOT going to post a picture of myself in glasses, although if I had the capabilities I'd post a picture of myself in my first pair which were light pink and octagon shaped. Don't be jealous.)

Labor Day Weekend Continued...

Saturday of Labor Day we spent a relaxing day at our house playing and swimming in the baby pool. The moms and dads each took turns getting out of the house for a bit which is always fun!

Then we headed to a fun restaurant for dinner, and of course, pictures!
We're ready to eat!

We had fun entertaining ourselves while waiting for the food (do you see Darin in the reflection getting the kids to smile??)

Jackson found a fun chair to sit in.

After dinner they were filled with sugar and ready to take pictures for us! Just look at Jackson's enthusiasm! :)

I thought this big red door was so fun.

This is about the best we could get, always there was one child looking away!

Then we took a few family photos.

Aren't they such a cute family??

After a bit of posing, the kids found a tree. Nolan is such a cutie pie!

This was the best I could get of J.

Precious!

And of course, my sweetie Cooper.

Then a few more family photos before we headed home!

(No, I'm not pregnant, I'm just wearing a dress I could have worn while I was in my 3rd trimester! :))

We can't wait until you guys come back to visit us! As for all of you out of town friends, we would love it if you came to visit us as well!!!
