School Stuff

Cooper went to school all the way into June!  But finally, the last day was here. How is it possible that he is done with his kindergarten year??

On one of the last days of school we saw an upside down rainbow!!!! 

During the last week of school we took Cooper lunch, and Jackson is modeling his new toy from Sonic.

 After school they opened a little "welcome to summer" gift (just a few books, silly string, and a game to play)...

 I made "apples."  Not too cute but they were tasty...

 and then went to our friend's house for a swim party!

 Look at this cutie pie in her swim suit!  Isn't that adorable?!   She was so busy, I could not get her to stop for a picture!

 Swimming with the three kids was slightly stressful, but then they got out for snacks and a water balloon fight and it got a little bit easier.  (Until Jackson stepped on a rock and then cried and wanted me to carry him home which was impossible with Claire.  Fun times.)

When we got home Cooper had his last day of school fun!

Then summer began, thank goodness!!!

Cooper's Real Birthday and Visiting His School!

On Cooper's actual birthday we gave him his presents from us.  He was excited to have a few more to open!

 

Here was his "big" present- a set of trio blocks that make a castle.  He loves trios!  What he mostly does with them is make his own creations- soldiers, characters from video games he likes, cannons, etc..  Then he and Jackson have elaborate battles. Ahhh boys.

 Jackson and I took Cooper out of school during his lunch/recess time to take him to lunch.  He of course picked Chick Fil A!  Actually first he picked Chuck e Cheese but I told him that's too far away to get any time to play.  Lucky me! :)

 Playing his new DS, a present from G and G B...probably his fav present!  Jackson has informed us many times that when he turns four he also wants a DS! :)

 Cooper had a night where we could go visit and see all of the work he's been doing and visit his specials.

 This is one of his favorite centers.

 When we visited the library they both found books (I'm pretty sure they were both about the army!) to read.

It was a fun visit, I'm so glad he likes school!

Cooper's PK Graduation

It's hard to believe that Cooper had his last day of PK recently!  He had such a fun time in PK and we loved his teacher.  I hope he loves kindergarten just as much.  We of course had to pose for a few pictures. 

Oops, I was having technical difficulties...here is Cooper on his first day of school.  I wanted to compare pictures but I think it's a bit too small for that :).

 The last day of school was a fun day.  They had a bunch of different stations set up to go play.  Jackson and I were fortunate to come up and visit for most of the day.  Cooper was door holder so he was at the front of the line, but I just had to post this picture of Jackson joining in the class.  He thought he was part of the class, did everything they did and even followed all  of the rules.  When we go up to read to the class, he sits with them and gets in line-everything.  I think he's ready for school! 

All of the kids wore their school shirts and for privacy I blocked out the name.  Kind of a pain when all the kids are wearing them so I didn't post many pictures from the day :).  Here's Cooper at a few stations...

Jackson and I took a quick break from the day and met our friend Henry at the park.  Aren't they so cute?? Both smiled with their eyes shut. :)

We made it back in time to watch the kids eat lunch and then say goodbye to their wonderful teacher :(

When we got home I had some really fancy decorating up to celebrate!  :)  Next year I'll do it a bit differently, but it worked for this year!  Our friend Zach came over to celebrate the last day of school with us.

That evening Ben had his graduation from PK.  He had a real graduation so we were excited to attend.  It was a little late so Jackson stayed home with Ryan.  Here are the three cutie pies.  Cooper loved Ben's hat.

She also made a cookie cake and put Cooper's name on it too which was so nice.  He loved it.

Next up, KINDERGARTEN!!!  AHHHH!!!   Cooper's ready but I am NOT. 

An Award and a Tea Party

Cooper's PK had an awards ceremony and I was so proud that Cooper received "most cheerful."  His teacher said that whenever she was having a bad day she just had to look at Cooper and he would cheer her up :)  Isn't that so sweet?  It made my day.

After their awards we sat and listened to another class.  Cooper and his class just happened to sit behind us and when I looked over, this is what the boys were doing.  SO cute!

Ryan took the day off so he could go to the awards, so afterward we went sunglasses shopping.  J was being hilarous with the glasses!  (Those are only mine, I didn't let him wear any of them ones in the shop!)

Cooper was very excited to help me build another Ikea purchase.  I looked around our house and I'm pretty sure we have at least one piece of Ikea furniture in every room in the house!

 Here's the finished product-just some art supply bins. They hold SO much stuff!  I miscalculated the number of drawers I needed so I need to get one more, then label all the bins.  It has come in very handy so far!

 The boys have rediscovered an interest in their tea set.  I sent them to the playroom to clean while I made dinner and they came back out with the tea set and wanted to have a tea party!

 Yum, even water tastes better in a little cup!

 Cooper was the official pourer.

 Cooper actually had me buy "kid tea" at the grocery store this week.  He wasn't too big of a fan, I thought it was really tasty!

 They really wanted a group photo, including Lily.  Ryan was at work still.

 We had corn on the cob that evening and I just HAD To post this picture.  This was Jackson's face every time he took a bite of corn! 

 Cooper loved it too, he just wasn't quite so dramatic. :)

Random Fun

This is a very random post, I just need to catch up!  

The boys were playing around with these parachute men and started putting them on their heads.   So strange but so darn cute!

A week or two ago we went to an outdoor concert and the kids loved it!  The weather was beauitful which made it nice for the grownups!

 I think they look alike even though they're cousins not siblings!  Am I crazy?

 The crowd was sitting to the left of the picture in chairs, and there was this grassy area that a few kids were dancing around in.  Our kids went and joined them, and Cooper was SUCH a ham! I think he thought everyone was there to watch them dance, not to listen to the music.  He had the biggest smile on his face and kept watching the crowd.  I think I may need to put him in drama or something! :)

 A house project I recently completed is painting this wall upstairs with a chevron pattern.  It's just a small wall at the top of the stairs so I thought it would be fun to do something kind of crazy on it.  Upstairs is the gameroom.  It was easier than I thought, especially since Laura had the kids for the day!

I can't remember when this was or why the kids have on pjs, I think my parents were babysitting them. Anyway, my parents are having all of the tile in their house replaced with wood, so my dad wrapped all of their furniture with this plastic stuff.  Of course the kids wanted to be wrapped up too.

 Wow this is fun!

 I watched Ben one day recently and got a few pictures of these best buddies.

 Another recent activity was Cooper's class, and a few other classes,  did a little concert for the parents. 

 It was so cute!  Cooper practiced the songs at home so he was really prepared and had a great time!

 Last but not least, we had our last MOPS meeting and we took a picture of our table, we're missing a few girls but here's most of us!
