Memorial Day Part 2

We had a fun day on Memorial Day! We swam at Gma and Gpa Bs and had a yummy lunch. I didn't take a bunch of pictures, but here are a few of Cooper, Ben, and Elizabeth swimming with Ryan and Tom.

Memorial Day Weekend Part 1

We had a busy but fun Memorial Day weekend. Gma and Gpa S came down to visit us for the weekend. We had a fun time but poor Katie and Roger. They ended up doing a big project with us for the entire weekend! Gma and Gpa B got Cooper and our baby boy-to-be a swing set for an early Christmas present, and Gma and Gpa S were nice enough to help us put it up over the weekend. Here's a sneak peak at it. We're not quite done with it, we're going to finish this weekend.

My baby shower

My work threw me a baby shower and I thought I'd post a few pics. I thought it was nice of them to do this for me since I'm not going to be back next year!





Here I am with the cake they had for me.

The cake says "We wished upon a star and here you are" That's what the nursery says on the wall. Isn't it a cute cake? It was SO tasty too!

More fun with cousins

Elizabeth and Ben came over to play today. We had fun as always, and Elizabeth entertained the boys so I was able to get a little cleaning done! Always great.

Friends!

We had some friends over to play this morning. Cooper had so much fun. He actually shared fairly well with our guests, except for Ben. He definitely treats Ben like a brother. (that's good and bad I guess!)



Here they all are, we were able to get them to pose! Josh, Drew, Cooper, Ben, Emily, and Elizabeth. Cooper calls Drew and Josh "DrewJosh." When he's talking to one he usually uses both of their names, even though he knows who is who! So strange.







We played at the water table while they were here since it was so nice out. Josh is ready to bolt!

Here they are playing in Cooper's big boy room (we still haven't decorated it yet) Only the moms (Janet and Laura) would look at me!

This is just a funny picture I took of Cooper. Yes, he still sleeps with a paci, but we are going to be breaking that habit soon! He found another one in his crib and was telling me "look, 2 pacis!" So of course I had to get a picture. So silly.

The Many Faces of Cooper

While out shopping one time I was in the dressing room with Cooper and he was getting VERY bored. Of course there was a big mirror in there so I started telling him to make certain faces, and showing him how to do it. Now I just get a kick out of the faces he makes, and I thought I'd post a few.

Here's his "happy" face. I now realize I need to have him do something like this when we're taking pictures instead of saying "cheese." Although this is a REALLY happy picture :)


"Surprised"


"Mad" Looks a little bit like sad today. He wasn't being super cooperative (if you can tell in the pics, he has sunscreen all over his face because we were outside all that morning, so he's getting tired)

Earlier that morning after breakfast, his tray was covered with jam so I got out some whipped cream and we were making shapes in the jam

Fun times

I had some random pictures from the last week or so, and am posting a few "highlights." :) Last week Ben and Elizabeth came over to play and I put out the sprinkler. Here are Cooper and Ben running around the sprinkler. Cooper got this for his b-day and loves it!

Yesterday they came over again and Elizabeth planned that they'd all wear their Thomas t-shirts. She even reminded her mom when Laura was going to put her in something different. So I of course had to take a picture.

I made the kids these dancing sticks (I guess that's what you'd call them) to dance with. They played with them maybe 5 minutes, then the novelty wore off. But it was fun while it lasted!

This is just funny to me. Cooper was looking through his scrapbook and I had all of the monthly pictures of him together when I posed him with his giraffe. He ran and got his giraffe and wanted me to pose him like that again, and take his picture. So funny! If you look below you'll see a few of him when he was younger... so sad! He's grown up so much!

3 months

5 months. He's changed so much!

This is also funny to me! He saw his knight costume and wanted to wear it ON OUR WALK! So here he is, in our stroller, ready to go on a walk. I can't believe I let him out of the house like that.

Cooper at the reception, enjoying ice cream in a chef's hat. It was so nice at the reception, Cooper spent the majority of the time during dinner with my parents and Ryan's parents, and they kept him entertained. Towards the end of dinner one of the waitresses came out and offered to bring Cooper back and get him ice cream. My mom went with him and she said they brought him back to the kitchen, and put him up on the counter by the chefs' and got to meet them. They then gave him a chef's hat and a big sundae. Isn't that so cute? He LOVED it.
