Jackson!

Here are a few of the pictures I've been taking of Jackson these past few weeks. They're out of order and go by oldest to youngest, but I know that no one will mind! :)

Another Injury and a Smile Caught on Video!

I have to say, please ignore me in these videos, I sound kind of silly sometimes, I didn't think I'd be posting these! I had to though, because in the one with Jackson, he smiled! He's been smiling some, not a ton yet, so I was so happy to catch it on video. He has also started to make some cute little cooing noises but I didn't get much on video this time. We're doing great here at home, Jackson has been doing a good job sleeping at night (usually only up once) so that has been very helpful. We actually went to the grocery store for the first time (me, Jackson and Cooper) and it went well! I only had to get milk so I was in the store for a total of 5 minutes, but still, it's something! :)

Then the video of Cooper I had to post because it has yet another injury in it. I do have a few pictures of his injury but it's on a new camera that I don't know how to download yet, hopefully I'll figure that out soon. Anyway, on Fri we put Cooper to bed and probably 30 seconds later I hear a BIG boom and he starts crying really hard. I run in there and realize he has a gash on his forehead that's bleeding quite a bit. Of course Jackson is screaming too because I was just about to feed him. Cooper told me he was climbing up on his bookcase to get a book on top of it. It has a bench part on the bookcase so apparently he was standing on that and fell off. How he hit his head I don't know. I knew he'd need some sort of stitches or something but we didn't want to bring Jackson to the ped urgent care since it's so flu infested right now, so my very sweet sister met us at the dr. to take Jackson home for us. SO nice since they were moving the next day and she had lots of work to do! Cooper ended up getting his two cuts glued shut, and now we'll have a big cut in every picture for months! :)

(By the way, I had him sing a song so I knew I could get a good video of his face. He's singing the two verses of Jack and Jill in case you can't understand the second verse. I didn't even know there was a second verse until I read it in one of our night-time books!)

He did a great job at the dr. and it really didn't hurt him too much. Which actually isn't good because I don't know if he really learned his lesson. When he's doing something potentially dangerous (Climbing on something, etc..) I'll say, "remember what happened when you were climbing on the bookcase, you fell and had to get stiches, do you want that to happen again?" He'll now say "Yes, I want go to Dr. I want itches." (so funny how kids talk!) AHH, I want him to NOT want to go to the dr. Oh well.

3ish Weeks Old!

Here are some recent pictures of the kids. We've been staying home a lot so I've been trying to find some fun things for us to do.

We had a "book bash" one day when he woke up from nap. (All it was, was sitting in a tent reading books while eating popcorn. But he thought it was fun!)

That night we made s'mores in the microwave. It was so funny, it had been a while since he had eaten marshmellows, and he wasn't too sure about how sticky and gross his fingers got at first. "Hey, get off my fingers!" was the first thing he said. Pretty funny. But soon he dug right in.

Jackson is getting so big! He's already too long for a few of his 0-3 month outfits, and he weighed 12.2 at his 1 month appointment. Yea!

Cooper and I just got back from a VERY quick trip to Chicago late last night. I'll post about it soon, we had a great time but I was SO excited to get back to Jackson. I missed him so much!

Nursery Rhymes

I have been taking videos of Cooper singing nursery rhymes and other songs, and I finally am getting around to posting them. This post is probably more for the grandparents than anyone else :) Although I'm sure all of you would love to hear what a good singer Cooper is! :) (ha ha)

The second video is "Three Blind Mice" I think he sings is so funny because when it starts to get fast and have lots of words, he gets a few of them correct, but mostly just makes up words.

Labor Day

My mom and dad had a "back to school" party for the grandkids on Labor Day. I didn't take a picture of the table but it was SO cute!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun and busy Labor Day Weekend. Gma and Gpa S came down to visit us and we had lots of fun with them.

We are still doing really well. Jackson continues to be a very good baby for the most part, and Cooper is a great big brother. Doesn't pay him a whole lot of attention still, but also doesn't get jealous which is great! We went to my parents' house for dinner on Labor Day, so I'll post pictures of that next.

One- Two Weeks Old!

Here are some semi-recent pictures of the kids, finally! Things have been good here, but busy. Gma and Gpa S came down for the weekend so I'll have to post pictures from their trip here soon.

Big Brother Cooper!

Cooper and Jackson. This was my attempt to get a few pictures of the boys, and it didn't work out too well. Jackson would only stay like this for about 10 seconds, and same with Cooper. I'll have to try again sometime!
