Spring Fun, and a Milestone for Jackson!

It's been gorgeous here so we've been trying to get to the park before it becomes 100!I thought this tree was so fun to take pictures on.

Jackson is officially in a big boy bed! We still have his crib up because we weren't sure if it was going to be a permanent switch. It was kind of an impulse decision. The same day I decided we weren't going to continue to potty train, I decided to take his mattress out of the crib and put it on the floor. He did great with it! After a few great days he started getting out of bed so we had to do a reward system. But he's now back on track! Our problem is now that he keeps falling out of bed and hasn't learned not to roll out. Cooper learned pretty quickly.

Here he is the first day in his big boy bed...love all the animals with him!

We put him in a toddler bed thinking it would teach him not to fall out, but as you can see in the picture, it didn't help! I've been getting up a few times every night when he falls out and wakes up! So today I got a rail to attach to the bed, we'll see if it works! I just had to add this picture, can you believe how he's sleeping on the wood floor so far away from his bed and didn't wake up?!? Crazy!

Cooper's been playing soccer and has been having fun! He's made a few goals, here he is right after he made one. He was SO proud!

Bluebonnets!

The bluebonnets are starting to go away here but a few weeks ago we were able to go out and take some pictures in them. The boys were troopers and took a bunch for me! :)

I couldn't get Ryan to pose but I at least got 2 of my boys! :)

St. Patrick's Day

The boys woke up to a silly leprechaun mess. That silly leprechaun also dyed our milk green! Every time Jackson saw the milk he'd say "that silly leprechaun milk!" We also had Lucky Charms for breakfast. Afterwards we had a birthday party to go to, then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a slumber party.

Grandma and Grandpa have bluebonnets right by their house so we had to take pictures by them.

Grandma had a shamrock hunt set up for the kids.

Fun at Home

It's been gorgeous outside so we've been playing outside a lot. Lots of baseball!

Of course I had him pose for a few pics :)

Look who's a big boy! This Fri I tried to start potty training Jackson. It worked...well, horribly. It was funny actually. Laura and Ben were over playing and I kept giving Jackson lots of lemonade so he'd have to go alot. Then my plan was to have him try every 30 mins or so. Well, every time I tried to have him go, he sit there but wouldn't be able to go, then seriously not 5 minutes later he'd go on the floor. He literally had 9 accidents before lunch. EVERY TIME he would try on the potty and wouldn't go, then he'd go like a few minutes later. The last time, when I decided to stop, I sat with him for 2o min on the potty reading to him, just figuring if he went once he'd figure it out. He cried after that and I gave him a 5 min break while I ran and got the ipad. Well, guess what, in that little break, he of course had an accident. I decided after that, that he just wasn't ready to train :).

Home Study Update

I keep forgetting to mention the home study here! We've had two home studies so far, one that was just my personal interview, and the next one was the boys' interview. Yes, Cooper and Jackson were interviewed! It was mostly them just talking to our social worker (who is SO nice by the way!) about pictures around the house and their room. They both did really well and were very social so that's good! The next two are going to be finished up within the next two weeks and then we'll be done with our home study! We had the same social worker for all of our home study visits, plus all of our post-placement visits so that's nice. It'll take her around a month to write up our report and then we can start submitting more paperwork. We're slowly but surely making progress! Just wanted to let you all know! :)

Cooking and Friends

We made campfires for a snack recently. SO easy and stuff we had on hand which made it even easier! :) They both enjoyed it!

We also made peeps s'mores. Yum!

Last thing we made was cake mix puppy chow. It was really yummy, I was surprised I liked it so much.

We had some friends over for a playdate over spring break and it's been so warm out, we got our bounce house out. Here are the kids eating some of the puppy chow.

We went over to our friends' Nikolas and Nathan's house for dinner a little while ago. The boys always have so much fun playing with them.

We went over to another friend's house over spring break and they just got a turtle! Cooper loved it. He kept asking if we could get one.
