Weekday Fun

oops, this pic is out of order. Should be down with the picture of him and Ben. We hung out with cousins this week so I got a picture of Cooper with each of his cousins.

This past week I started to get some of Cooper's old baby stuff out and get it ready for our new baby. Cooper LOVED playing with the toys, turning them on and off, figuring out the buttons, etc.. The funniest thing was he tried to get in the bouncy seat, and did sit in the swing. He wanted me to push him and everything. So of course I had to take a picture. Below it is a picture of Cooper when he actually fit in the swing, so cute! Hard to believe he was that little!

We've had some fun times this week but didn't have my camera with me to capture many of them. I did get to take a picture of Cooper with his cousins though!

We put shelves up in Cooper's room, so now at least one more wall is done! Yea, only two more to go before the baby, we'll see if that happens this weekend...

Playdates

We had a few fun playdates this past week! I didn't take very many pictures during them but I got at least one of the kids together.

Here are Ben and Cooper. We had Ben over while poor Elizabeth was recovering from her virus. I feel like every time I post about the cousins they are only in diapers! I promise, they had clothes on almost the whole time, but we went outside and played with sidewalk chalk, and then in the water table, so they were so gross. They watched a show while I got lunch ready so I took off their clothes so they could be on the couch. But then after a minute they both grabbed a pillow and laid on the floor like this to watch the show. Isn't that cute?

Here is Cooper and his friend Hunter. Hunter and his mom Ashleigh had us over to their house to swim and we had such a good time! Hunter is only about 5 days younger than Cooper. It was fun to see them play together.

And here is our last playdate: Cooper and his friend Emily. Emily is a year old so it was good practice for him to play with her. I had to talk to him a lot about sharing, he was doing an ok job but still needs to work on that! :)

We had a fun and busy week!

My Surprise "Sprinkle"

Back in June Laura and Dana had a surprise "sprinkle" for me! (It was called a "sprinkle" because supposedly it was smaller than a regular shower since it was my second baby, but it sure seemed just like a shower! They are so amazing!!) I thought I was going over to Laura's for a playdate with some of our friends, so of course I was almost a half hour late and I'm not dressed too cute. Oops! I felt bad once I found out! I'm just posting now because Laura took most the pictures at the shower. I wasn't thinking and I didn't take a picture with the two hostesses except for the one below with Dana, and I barely have any pictures of the guests! I was not thinking straight that day I guess!

The diaper cake Laura made! The theme was diapers so I got diapers from everyone, which is SO SO nice and will come in handy!

My friend Joanne and her mom made this beautiful quilt, I love it!!

In addition to the diapers I got a few outfits, aren't they so cute? I love the little socks too.

Dana and Laura each got me some adorable burp cloths as well. Laura made the ones on the right herself if you can believe that! She is definitely talented.

I had a wonderful time, and Jackson is going to be one stylin' boy! Thanks everyone!!

Visit with Chris and Jesy

Cooper's Uncle Chris and his girlfriend Jesy came down to stay with us this past weekend. We had so much fun with them! They got to see a few of the local sites around here and spent lots of time playing with Cooper. He LOVED having them here. The second he woke up he started asking for them VERY loudly. I had to try to keep him quiet but I don't think that worked too well. :) He wanted them to play with him all the time, and in fact once I went into Cooper's room to play with him and Chris and he very politely told me I could go back to the computer! The nerve!! ha ha. Luckily I didn't mind too much since he was having so much fun with them.

I just thought this was funny. We kiss "boo boos" alot around here and he bumped his knee and we told him to kiss it.

On the way out to eat, Cooper talked to Uncle Chris on the phone the whole way. He thought it was so fun!

Ashlynn and Cooper

This week Cooper and I went over to my parent's house to swim, and Dana and Ashlynn joined us.


I attempted to get a picture of the two of them together. This was the best I could get.



We tried getting a picture of the two of them on the "boat" but Ashlynn was not a fan of the boat, I think it scared her how water could get in it.

Here's another attempt. I'm calling to both of them "Look at the camera, where's Mommy, etc" and you can see how well they listened!! :)

Fourth of July Fun

Ryan's parents came down for the Fourth of July and we had a lot of fun with them! On Fri we met my friend Dana and daughter Ashlynn, along with their cousin, at Chuck E Cheese. Cooper doesn't go there often so he thought it was SO fun. Here are Ashlynn and Cooper doing a "ride". The seat moved around and they watched a little show, which Cooper of course LOVED. Then on the fourth we had a BBQ at home and just relaxed. I decided I'd better do SOMETHING patriotic, so we made star pictures. Here is Cooper painting the stars.

And this was just a few days ago but I thought it was so funny. He was entertaining me by playing a song on his piano and singing the alphabet or a different song. He was really into it as you can tell!

We had a great visit with Gma and Gpa S, glad you could come visit us! Of course no pictures with them, yet again. I actually was going to try really hard this time and I forgot! Next time I'll have to get some for sure.

Ryan's b-day and Random Fun

We have had a busy and fun past two weekends, but I didn't take many pictures! I don't know what I was thinking. Ryan turned the big 3-0 this past week, so I surprised him last weekend with an overnight trip to Austin. We haven't done that since Cooper was born, so we had lots of fun! Unfortunately I am very pregnant by now and don't love being outside in the heat, so I'm not sure I was tons of fun to be with :) We did get to shop some, go out to eat at Ryan's fav restaurant down there, and go get some yummy ice cream as well. Not to mention sleeping in! We stayed at a bed and breakfast, and I have never done that before. It was actually pretty fun. We didn't get any pics of the room but here's the outside of the bed and breakfast. Can't see it very well with the trees.


On Ryan's actual b-day his parents were in town, so we celebrated with cake and ice cream. Please don't judge the cake, I got lazy and decided not to decorate it. Ryan said he didn't mind :) Cooper LOVED blowing out the candles.

I think I put something in his hair, I can't remember though. I just thought he looked sweet in this picture.

Before Ben and Eliz left on their vacation to the cabin (Wish we were there!!) we had them over for the day and made some art. The pictures are kind of blurry b/c I had it on a weird setting and of course didn't know how to fix it. Had to have Laura help me. I don't know what I'd do without her knowledge of cameras! Here they are showing their coloring. We used washable markers and then...

Sprayed it with water. I saw it on a blog and the pics turned out so cute. I think we sprayed too much water on it because basically all of the color came off the pics. Oh well, it was fun.
