Fun at Home

I was looking through my recent pictures and realized I never posted pics of Cooper during his soccer class. He loved it! His fierce goalie face! :)

Getting his trophy in the last class. He was SO excited to get his first ever trophy!

I just thought this picture was hilarious. Jackson is saying "cheese."

I was really windy one day so we tried to fly our kite. (this was my lazy way to fly it, I didn't want to walk down the street to the big open field, so we just ran around the backyard.)

Jackson is still in LOVE with his "ickey's" (A big and baby Mickey). H likes to put them in his cart and push them around. So cute!

The boys have been playing a lot together. Cooper is loving having a playmate!

Bluebonnets!

The bluebonnets are here! We've seen so many on the side of the road, and found a great patch near my parent's house so I decided to try to get some pictures of the boys.

Then we went to another patch that was really big and a perfect place to take pictures. I don't really know why I stopped this first time. We were coming back from the dr, Jackson had an ear infection and pink eye, but I decided it would be a good time to stop. They weren't even in cute outfits! Oh well, live and learn. I didn't get great pictures, surprise surprise.

I think Jackson's thinking "mom, why are you running around like a maniac squealing and laughing and trying to get me to smile like that?"

Then Laura and I took the kids back to that same patch right after church and were much more successful.

The best one of the cousins. My boys didn't do so well with these. Poor Ben was trying not to cry, but he was able to be a trooper and pull out a smile!

This little stinker ran away from me when we were trying to leave. Somehow I just can't stay mad at him! :)

Lots and lots of bluebonnet pictures I know! I just love the bluebonnets, I wish they were around all year long!

Gotcha!

For April Fool's Day I played two little tricks on Cooper. He thought it was SO fun and kept asking me to play more tricks on him. Unfortunately I have a hard time coming up with things, and the only thing I could think of was the saran wrap on the toilet. After potty training a boy, the saran wrap hits too close to home, (I don't ever want to WILLINGLY encourage a mess in the bathroom :) so he didn't get many tricks after this. Just had to post this picture of him posing in his super cape! Cooper put Jackson's on him as well, I just didn't get a picture of it! They were so cute though both running around pretending to fly in them! The first trick was telling him breakfast was an ostridge egg. I thought he would be totally grossed out by this and refuse to eat it, but he wanted to dig right in! (it was a peach half on top of whip cream)

"I'm going for it!"

The second trick was I froze his orange juice the night before so it looks like you can drink it...

but it doesn't work!

Then I told him what I did and he thought that was so cool. We had to put another cup of water and a straw in the freezer so he could do it to me.

I have two cupcake cook books that are SO cute and I very rarely make things out of them. One second is an April Fool's section, so I decided to make these "TV dinner" cupcakes out of it. If you can't tell, they're mashed potatoes, drumsticks, and carrots. The carrots are supossed to also have green runts to look like peas, but I couldn't find them easily so I decided just carrots were enough. Cooper thought they were fun but immediately knew they were cupcakes.

St. Patty's Day

We had a great St. Patrick's Day! We met my friend Tamara and her kids Austin and Amanda at the Science Museum. Tamara and I used to job share together and it has been forever since we've seen eachother, so it was great to get together. Before they arrived we took a few pictures of their St. Patty's Day outfits outside the museum.

Then we had to explore the cool statues they had outside.

Once inside we did tons of fun things! It was hard to take lots of pictures while watching both boys but I did get a few of different activities. Here is Tamara helping the boys do this flying paper activity.

Cooper was able to make his fly! He loved this and wanted to stay for a long time doing this over and over!

We also dug for dinosaur bones. Jackson had fun flinging sand all over.

There were not many cars to go around and Jackson was NOT happy about it!

They did do some grocery shopping for me too which was really nice! :)

It was a really warm day so we were able to go outside and play with the water. Cooper waited (somewhat) patiently for the water gun.

I made rainbow cupcakes for St. Patrick's Day. It kind of all melted together so it didn't look much like the picture, but Cooper thought it was cool.

That evening Cooper had his first soccer practice! He's playing on his first official team and he's really excited about it. He actually had his first game on Saturday and he did so well. He played most of the game and had a great time. He was tired and sweaty when he was done though!

He's one of only two boys on his team, it's pretty cute. Some of the little girls are really good!

Our last St. Patty's Day activity was a four leaf clover hunt. Apparently it was way too easy because it took him all of 5 seconds to find it. Then he had to hunt for the rainbow and the pot of gold at the end of it.

Oooh, I found it!

Yes, I worked all day on that rainbow, don't be jealous! :) I am a last minute person for sure!
