Mud!

We have had WONDERFUL weather lately! In the 70s! We were playing outside with our friend and neighbor Zach this week and they were digging in the mud.
Cooper came over to ask me a question and I saw that he had mud all over him!
I just thought it was funny. Here's Cooper with his friend Zach.
Boys will definitely be boys. I have a feeling we have lots of fun days filled with dirt and digging in my future!

Projects

I've done a few projects around the house lately. The first thing I made was this giant ruler. I'm going to use it as a growth chart for the kids. I first saw it on a blog I really like to read- i don't know how to link or I'd link to her blog! Then Laura made one for her house just a few days later, such a coincidence! When I saw Laura's in person and heard how easy it was I decided to make my own. I'm sure you can get the details about how to make it on pinterest! :)

I made a few Valentine projects. The heart wreath and the little rosettes-of course found both on pinterest!
Cooper wrote that LOVE for me. I am loving that he knows how to write letters now (at least most of them!) I'm going to be using him in my projects from now on.
I traced over my silhouettes and made new ones with Valentine' s paper.
I made all of those little projects last year but found that cute abc printable online. I don't know what I'd do without the internet!

Fun at Home

I've barely taken any pictures in January! A few weeks ago we went to Disneyworld-we had SO much fun, and I need to post pictures from it! I didn't take my "real" camera so it's going to take me awhile to download pictures from it. Then I'll post all about our trip! :)

Cooper has been into hideouts and secret agents lately. The picture above is Cooper and Jackson in their secret hideout. Cooper even drew a map to it on that napkin he's holding. He really isn't into writing or drawing at all so I was so happy that he initiated drawing that map!

They sit in that tiny closet and close the door and have so much fun in there! Hilarious!

You can't see it at all but he sounded out the word "hideout" and wrote it on that door sign and taped it up. Love it!
Here's another thing Cooper wrote lately. He wrote "I love you. Mom" on it.
He also drew a sun :).
Recently Eliz and Ben spent the night and we had a lot of fun with them! Cooper immediately had to run and put on the same shirt that Ben had on.
Here they are all ready to sleep! Jackson wanted to sleep with them but I only let him lay there for stories.
I'll have to post soon about Disney!

Our Family Christmas

The day after we got back from Kansas, Santa came to visit us! Here is the letter Cooper wrote for Santa. (He wrote the one on the left, then told me what to write on the right).

I think I helped think of Rudolph but I mentioned nothing about sins, that was all on his own :).

Cooper was SO excited to see the presents! He has the best faces!

Jackson was too.

Cooper with his pile of presents.

Here's Jackson!

They first opened their stockings.

One of their favorite presents were these transformer costumes.

Cooper also got a police uniform and a marble set (which he's opening).

The aftermath of presents!

We had a snowflake breakfast that morning.

After we got dressed they went outside to see their last present from Great-Grandma and Grandpa S. They were SO excited.

It was their very own jeep!

Woo hoo! They have been loving it, it's definitely the hit of the neighborhood!

I received a giant hershey kiss in my stocking from mom and dad and Cooper was kind enough to help me eat it. :)

We had a great Christmas and it's so sad that it's over. On to Valentine's day!

Kansas Trip Cont..

Since the weather was so nice while we were in KS the boys all went outside and played football. Cooper was in heaven!

I tried to get a group photo of th eboys (BJ, Cooper, Ryan, Jackson, Chris) but Jackson wasn't really into it.
Here's a good one! (minus J)
Clearly he was not wanting his picture taken! :)CHRISTMAS MORNING! The boys loved celebrating the birthday of Jesus!
Here is Cooper with his Santa present. Santa sneakily brought one present to KS for the boys. The rest he delivered to our house once we got back in town.
Jackson's ready to open!
Jackson got this really fun ball from Uncle Chris and Amanda. He was able to jump on it right away!
Santa brought Jackson an electric keyboard! A great distraction on the drive home!
Cooper's gift was a game for his leapster.
Grandma and Grandpa S got the boys remote control cars that do all sorts of flips and tricks. They thought they were so fun!
Christmas evening Aunt Emily came over (along with Uncle Doug, Aaron, and Holly). The boys enjoyed being read to by Emily. Also Great-Grandma and Grandpa S were in town, along with Aunt Liz, Valerie, and Uncle Jeff. I was so bad and got NO pictures of them. I can't believe it!
We saw a hot air balloon! I haven't seen one in FOREVER! Wouldn't that be fun to do on Christmas?C was watching the hot air balloon and the geese outside.
Jackson, Maya, NOlan, Max, Cole, Cooper, Avery, and Cade. SO glad we were able to see them all, just wish we could have seen even more of our friends! Hopefully our next trip.

The next day we drove home! Jackson and Cooper do so well in the car and make the trip pretty easy for us, thank goodness! The next day we celebrated Christmas at home.
